Emily V. Yard

Emily V. Yard, age 82, of Cumming, GA, formerly of Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. Emily was born in 1936, to the late Van and Doris Vanlandingham. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Bushnell, Ill. Emily had a passion for knitting and gardening. She loved her family and spending time with them. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Charles B. Yard.

Emily is survived by her children and spouses, Christopher and Ann Yard and Charles and Linda Yard; sisters, Valerie Colson, Amanda Parkman, and Aledra Kelsey; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and cousin, Douglas Craig; along with many other loving relatives and friends.

Emily’s final wishes was to not have any memorial services, instead the family requests that donations be made in memory of Emily Yard to the Buford Masonic Lodge #292 F&AM in Buford, GA.
