Mr. Larry Dean Lathan, age 70 of Hilltop Lane, Toccoa passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the Stephens County Hospital.
A son of the late Tom and Gertrude Duncan Lathan, he was born April 14, 1948 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life. He was employed with Nicholon in Habersham County for a number of years and later with the Stephens County School System Maintenance Department. He was of the Holiness faith. He loved his classic fast cars and trucks. He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Wesley Dean Lathan.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Patricia Ann Kennedy Lathan; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Tiffany Lathan of Toccoa; grandchildren, Cody Lathan, Annsley Lathan, Kinnsley Lathan; brother, Leon Lathan of Toccoa; sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Larry Brown of Carnesville, Georgia; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara and Charles Hicks of Tococa; a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services Wednesday, January 30, 2019, 2 O’clock p.m. at Stephens Memorial Gardens with The Reverend Fred Duncan and The Reverend David Souderas officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jason Lathan, Cody Lathan, Kyle Meeks, Brandon Ayers, Allan Hunt and Leon Lathan.
Interment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Gardens with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Larry Dean Lathan.
