Ola Adams

Mrs. Ola Adams, age 98 of Buford, GA, passed away Friday, January 18, 2019. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Pastor Bryan Satterfield, Pastor Jerry Bennett and Pastor Jodi Martin will officiate. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 2 – 8 PM at the funeral home. Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, George Adams; daughter, Opal Adams; daughter in law, Wanda Adams. She is survived by her children, Janice Murphy and husband Bob, Kenneth Adams, Keith Adams and wife Cerita, all of Buford; grandchildren, Kim Duncan and husband David, Buford, Chris Adams and wife Cindy, Dawsonville, Raquel Adams, Buford; great grandchildren, Ashley Duncan Keifer and husband Tyler, Flowery Branch, Jordan Duncan, Buford, Savannah Adams Walls and husband Austin, Dawsonville, Annabelle Adams, Dawsonville; great-great grandchildren, Ryder and Rhett Keifer, Flowery Branch, Micajah Walls, Dawsonville. She is also survived by many wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones. Ola was born February 10, 1920 in Barrow County, Georgia and was a lifelong resident of the area. Her parents were share croppers, where she worked her first job helping farm the land.  Ola also stamped leather for Earl Vance Leather Co., worked in the lunchroom at Harmony School and was working with Loveable when she retired. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, Buford. Ola loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed by them all.
