Nicholas Allen Scott

Nicholas Allen Scott, resident of Dekalb county, GA died peacefully at home at the age of 54 due to complications from a chronic illness on January 14, 2019. Nick was born in Zeist, Netherlands, then spent his younger years living in New York City. He has been a resident of Atlanta Georgia since 1998.

Nick succeeded in his career in computer systems administration. He had an engaging personality and a natural ability to make friends. Nick had many talents that included his love for playing the drums and flying large scale remote control airplanes. He enjoyed fishing and was happiest if he could be at the beach.   

Nick was preceded in death by his parents Richard Walter Scott and Theresa Grandone Scott. He is survived by his two children, Brandon Walter Scott and Nicholas Brian Scott of Braselton, GA, his brother Richard Scott of Virginia, sisters Theresa Scott Rienzi of NY and Linda Scott Notarangelo of NC; his brother in law William Notarangelo of NC; his sister in law Diane Scott  of Virginia, his nieces Jennifer Rienzi, Christine Rienzi of NY and nephews Nicholas Rienzi of NY, William Scott of Virginia and Michael Notarangelo and Matthew Notarangelo both of NC. 

Visitation will be from 4:00-5:00 PM followed by a memorial service at 5:00 PM on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel and Gardens. Pastor Danny Newbern will officiate. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Nick.
