Mr. Bryan Jay Van Dyke, age 39, of Flowery Branch passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Gainesville, surrounded by his family.
Funeral Services will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Rev. Dave Channell will officiate. The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home. Following the service the family will have fellowship and continue the celebration of Bryan’s life at the Christ Place Church Venue.
Mr. Van Dyke was born November 20, 1979 to Donald Jay & Linda Pastoor Van Dyke in Hudsonville, Michigan. He was the oldest boy of six children who all grew up in Michigan where they have been a very close family.
Bryan always was extremely hard working and started his own tile business for over 20 years. He had a love for the outdoors and kayaking which was shared with his brothers and best friends taking many trips filled with memories for a lifetime.
He met Jodie in 2002 and the 2 were inseparable, enjoyed living life together and adding their 2 beloved children Owen, 12 and Kayla, 10 to their family. He was an amazing husband and father. He valued his faith and family and worked hard to provide for them. He attended CPC during his short-lived time in GA but his church home was Grace Community Church in Michigan.
Mr. Van Dyke is survived by his wife of 14 ½ years, Jodie Van Dyke of Flowery Branch; son, Owen Jay Van Dyke; daughter, Kayla Jean Van Dyke; parents, Donald Jay & Linda Van Dyke of Hudsonville, Michigan; siblings, Brenda & Joel Van Baren of Wyoming, Michigan, Jeremy Scott & Tiffany Van Dyke of Jenison, Michigan, Michael Van Dyke of Hudsonville, Michigan, Jonathan & Maryann Van Dyke of Allendale, Michigan and Brianna & Matthew Fisher of Jenison, Michigan; and several nieces & nephews.
