Phillip Adam Dean

Phillip Adam Dean of Buford, GA, a loving father and devoted son and brother passed away at the age of 35 on Monday, January 7, 2019.  He is survived by his daughter, Grace Elizabeth Dean; former wife, Lauren Baylor Dean; parents, Steven and Marilyn Dean; sister and brother-in-law, Tara and Jason Blanchard; nephews, William and Matthew Blanchard; and aunts, uncles, and cousins. Phillip was born on July 26, 1983 in Atlanta, GA to Steven and Marilyn Fowler Dean. He attended Buford High School and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he obtained an Associate’s Degree in Religious Studies. He was married to Lauren Baylor with whom he shares a beautiful daughter, Grace Elizabeth Dean. Mr. Dean was passionate about his hometown sports team, the Buford Wolves, and the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Falcons, and Atlanta Braves. He never knew a stranger and had an immeasurably compassionate spirit. He was known for his quick wit and infectious smile. Mr. Dean was loved by all he knew. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan’s Purse, P. O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607, or to Advance Ministry Gospel International, 6815 Shallowford Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421 in memory of Phillip Dean. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Britt officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 12 and again on Sunday from 12:00 noon until time for the service.
