Esther Lydia Evans

Mrs. Esther Lydia Evans, age 95, of Dahlonega passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019.

Mrs. Evans was born in Fowler, KS on November 5, 1923 to the late Joseph and Anna Oyer Switzer.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Hilburn Lee Evans.  Mrs. Evans was retired from Decatur School System with over 40 years of dedication to teaching elementary school children.  She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Sherry and Michael Murden, and grandson Keith Allen Murden, all of Dahlonega. 

Mrs. Evans’ wishes were to be cremated then she will interred in Georgia National Cemetery next to her beloved husband.
