Mr. William Sidney Usher, age 88, of Flowery Branch passed away Sunday, January 6, 2019 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Braselton, surrounded by his family.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2019 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Chaplain Ron Guess will officiate. The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2019 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home.
Mr. Usher was born January 9, 1930 to the late Levy & Alma Usher in Baxley, Georgia. A WWII United States Army Veteran, he was a member of the American Legion Post 1 in Chamblee and was a member of Chamblee First United Methodist Church. Mr. Usher was a retired Real Estate Agent, who enjoyed fishing and Old Movies.
Mr. Usher is survived by his wife of 52 years, Lois Booher Usher; son & daughter-in-law, William Shawn & Sara Usher of St. Petersburg, Florida; daughter, Stacey Usher Kozlowski of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Hannah Kozlowski, Will Usher, Katie Usher and Isabelle Usher; sister, Neta Faye Thomas; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Oris Usher and George Usher; and sisters, Margaret Usher and Doris Usher.
