Junior Coggins

Junior Coggins, age 83, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019. He was preceded in death by wife, Retha Nell Martin Coggins; parents, Wiley King, Sr.  and Eliza L. Coggins; daughters, Deborah Ann Seabolt and Kathy Coggins; and grandson, Matthew David Bennett. Mr. Coggins is survived by children, Vickie Elaine Coggins, Commerce, GA, Linda Coggins, Maysville, GA, and Kenneth Allen Coggins, Homer, GA; ten grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Mary Jane (Kenneth) Gragg, Flowery Branch, GA; brother, James  Cicero “J.C.” Coggins; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Coggins was born on December 12, 1935. He attended Buford High School, and was a security guard at Hideaway Marina. He also did grass cutting for a long time. Mr. Coggins was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Landy McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 8. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Junior Coggins.
