Geraldine (Jerry) Conner LeBlanc, of Flowery Branch, GA, passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at her home, surrounded by family and friends. She was 87 years old.
Jerry spent many years in Atlanta raising her family and working at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic church until her retirement. She then worked part time at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Flowery Branch. She is preceded in death by her parents, Worth Jackson Conner and Bertha Head Conner; brother, Worth Jackson Conner, Jr.; and her husband of 35 years, Joseph Wilton LeBlanc, Jr.
Affectionately known by her children as “Big G”, she loved working in the yard, and playing Scrabble and Rummy.
She is survived by her six kids: Debbie (Mike) Foster of Charlotte, NC, Lynn (Robert Boggs) LeBlanc of Flowery Branch, GA, Bo (Libby) LeBlanc of Loganville, GA, Chris (Diana) LeBlanc of Jacksonville Beach, FL, Lisa (Charles Caler) Henderson of Anderson, SC, and Tim (Sabryna) LeBlanc of Gainesville, GA. She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren: Michael LeBlanc, Daniel LeBlanc, Christopher (Brie Gallagher) Foster, Brittany (Ajani) Washington, Chad Henderson, Cooper Henderson, Marjorie Freggens, Drew Freggens, Boyd Freggens, and Max Freggens, as well as three great-grandchildren, Maddox Gravitt, Connor Hull, and Asher Washington.
In addition, she is survived by her sister, Ann (Doug) Walton, and brothers, Hannie (Wilma) Conner; Owen (Marylou) Conner and Bobby Conner, as well as many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Jerry donated her body to Emory University for Diabetes and Alzheimer’s research.
A mass will be held in celebration of her life at Prince of Peace Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 12:00 PM, with visitation in the church hall at 11:00 AM.
The family would like to thank her friends who visited frequently, as well as her caregivers who took such good care of her, and Hospice of N. GA.
