Nathan Samuel Mize

Nathan Samuel Mize, age 74 of Commerce, GA passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019.

Born on June 3, 1944 in Commerce, GA he was the son of the late Thad and Frankie Mize. He was a mill worker with Mt. Vernon Mills, of the Pentecostal faith, a member of New Beginnings Family Worship Center in Danielsville, GA, and was a pastor at a variety of local churches.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Dailey Mize of the residence; daughter, Tracy Bryan, Winder; brothers, William Mitchell Mize, Commerce, Johnny Mize, Commerce; sister, JoAnn Helton, Ila; grandchildren, April Ivester, Athens, Brian Chambers, Connecticut; great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Ivester, Riley Castillo; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Roland Arrowood officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 7-9 pm Friday at the funeral home.
