Joyce Hughes Bell

Joyce Hughes Bell, age 88, of Buford, GA passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018. 

She was preceded in death by husband, James “Jack” Bell; parents, Eddie and Buna League Hughes; and brother, Jerry Hughes. Mrs. Bell is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Bell and Pat Rogers, Acworth, GA; one grandson, Mark (Heather) Tate, St. Augustine, FL; sister-in-law, Von Hughes Erickson, Hoschton, GA; two step-grandchildren, Phillip Rogers, Craig Rogers; great grandchildren, Cody Kirkpatrick, Gauge Rogers, Patrick Rogers, Taylor Rogers, Tori Tate (Phillip) Worthington, Avery Tate, Will Tate; great great grandchildren, Everett Worthington, Maverick Worthington; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mrs. Bell was born on September 16, 1930 in Lawrenceville, GA. She was a 1948 graduate of Flowery Branch High School in Flowery Branch, GA. Mrs. Bell was retired from First Commercial Bank of Buford, and she was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Buford, GA.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Darryl Dale officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park in Gainesville, GA.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 2. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital in memory of Joyce Bell.
