Rosanna Gillespie Wise

Rosanna Gillespie Wise, age 98, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on Friday, December 21, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, Leon C. Wise; and sons-in-law, Steven Lee Buffington and Larry Stone. Mrs. Wise is survived by her children, Paul and Carol Wise of Holland, MI, Janie Wise Buffington of Sugar Hill, GA, and Martha Wise Stone of Sugar Hill, GA; grandchildren, Carey and Kris Wise of Lombard, IL, Sarah and Kevin Syswerda of Byron Center, MI, Aubrey Goodell of Chicago, IL, Chad and Danielle Stone of Boise, ID, and Steven Buffington of Scotts Valley, CA; six great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Kate and J. B. Word of Dallas, TX, Elizabeth Love Julian of Cocoa Beach, FL, Martha Lowe of Ashville, NC, Naomi Burdeen, Lydia Griffin of Columbus, GA, and Lois Bretht of Lilburn, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Wise was born December 30, 1919 in Churchland, NC. She served in the U. S. Navy for three years and was stationed in Charleston, SC. She was a retired registered nurse. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Buford, GA and where she was also a member of Upper Room Sunday School Class.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Gwinnett Memorial Park, Lawrenceville, GA with Rev. Bruce W. Bliss officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home
