J.D. Raines

JD Raines age 86 of Gainesville passed away on Thursday December 27, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

          Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday December 29, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Reverend Kem Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday December 29, 2018 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

          JD was born on August 05, 1932 in Gainesville, Ga to the late Grady Benjamin Raines and Cleo Smith Raines West. He was a retired Master Sargent in the United States Army and was of the Baptist Faith. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 1 brother.

          Mr. Raines is survived by his niece, Lisa Millwood of Gainesville, and numerous nieces and nephews.
