Roosevelt D. Turpin

Mr. Roosevelt D. Turpin, age 85 of Buena Vista Drive, Eastanollee passed away at his residence on Friday, December 21, 2018.

A son of the late Frank B. and Lucille Turner Turpin, he was born January 12, 1933 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived a greater part of his life. He was retired from Coats and Clark. He was a member of Eastanollee Baptist Church and active member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Verner Turpin and by a brother, Jack Turpin.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Charles Sessoms of Eastanollee; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Elaine Turpin of Martin; grandchildren, Corey Sessoms, Crissy Sessoms, Chase and Kristin Turpin, Allison Turpin and Misty and Sonny Spearman; great-grandchildren, Kenzie Sessoms, Payson Sessoms, Will and Emily Spearman and Madison Spearman; great-great granddaughter, Winnie-Kate Spearman; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Junior and Betty Turpin of Eastanollee, Joe Dan and Edith Turpin of Lavonia and J. B. Turpin of Eastanollee.

Funeral services will be Sunday, December 30, 2018, 2 o’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Ricky McFarlin officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Ronnie Turpin, Brandon Turpin, Charles Wright, Allen Turpin, Chris Powell and Chase Turpin.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Saturday, December 29, 2018, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Interment will follow in the Eastanollee Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Roosevelt D. Turpin.
