Melva J. Lowry, age 82, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away Thursday, December 20, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years, George H. Lowry. Mrs. Lowry is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Paula Lowry, Dallas, TX, Mike C. and Judy Lowry, Cumming, GA, Frank T. and Tina Lowry, Forney, TX; grandchildren, Jason Lowry, Midland, TX, Julie and Brandon Jenkins, Argyle, TX, Stacy and Andrew Browning, Cumming, GA, Beth and Griffin Harrison, Woodstock, GA, Blake Lowry, Forney, TX, Brett Lowry, Forney, TX; great grandchildren, Carson George Browning, Parker Browning, Conner Harrison, Finley Harrison, Piper Harrison, Ava Jenkins, and Zoe Jenkins; sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Darrell Larsen, Virginia Beach, VA; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lowry was born on January 16, 1936 in Camden County, NC. She was a graduate of Cradock High School in Portsmouth, VA and she was a homemaker. Mrs. Lowry was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church in Rossville, GA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until time for the service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
