Jerome Mack Caudill

Mr. Jerome Mack Caudill, age 74, of Hoschton passed into Heaven on December 18, 2018, surrounded by his loving wife of 51 years and a host of friends, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Braselton.

A Funeral Service celebrating Mack’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 21, 2018 at Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church. Pastor John Batusic will officiate and dear friend, Tommy Lankford will give the eulogy.  The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Memorial Park South Funeral Home. 

Mr. Caudill was born April 6, 1944 in Sparta, North Carolina and was a graduate of Sparta High School, Milligan College and received a Master’s Degree from Atlanta University.  Mack worked in the DeKalb County School system from 1967-1997 in teaching and administrative positions and was loved and respected by all who knew him.  Mack served as a group leader for the MACAG cancer support group of Georgia for 16 years.  He was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling all over the United States and Canada with his wife and friends.  Mack was an active member and deacon of Chestnut Mountain Presbyterian Church. “Mack was a Friend to All”, and “A great friend indeed”.  Mack’s motto was, “Hope is a good thing.”

He is survived by his wife, Sheila Caudill; sister-in-law, Carol Caudill; brother-in-law, Jeff (Arlene) Tressler; several nephews & nieces; and a special friend, Lil Pete.  He was preceded in death by his parents, J C and Wilma Caudill; sister, Annie Green; brother-in-law, Dale Green; brother, Buddy Caudill; and Mack’s father and mother-in-law, Paul and Jean Tressler.

Mr. Caudill will be laid to rest in Landmark Baptist Church Cemetery in North Carolina on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., with friends received at Landmark Baptist Church from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
