Mrs. Betty Jean Brown Duncan, age 84 of Cedar Lane, Toccoa passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 19, 2018.
A daughter of the late Nathan Lamar Brown and Mary Sailers Brown, she was born November 29, 1934 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Stephens County. She was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Lamar Brown and Leon Brown and by a sister, Elwanda Cheek.
Survivors include her husband of the home, Fred Duncan; daughter, Fredda Mast of Toccoa; grandson, Bradley Hallford; great-grandson, Tyler Gieson; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 21, 2018, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Doug Saylors and The Reverend Roland Bearden officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Jeff Carter, William Hallford, George Brown, Jesse Jamerson, Tim Brown and Jesse Jamerson, III.
The family will be at the home on Cedar Lane and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
Interment will follow in the Roselane Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Betty Jean Brown Duncan.
