John Lindsey Jordan

John Lindsey Jordan, Jr., age 81, passed away December 12, 2018. John was born September 20, 1937 in Eufaula, Alabama.

He is preceded in death by his wife Vernell Nichols Jordan, to whom he married on July 22, 1957 and happily wed for 44 years; children: Darryl Anderson, Delores Adams, Hulit Jordan and William Jordan; great-grandchildren AJ Palmer and Summer Anderson; and parents Elizabeth and John Lindsey Jordan, Sr. 

John joined the US Army as a paratrooper at the age of 17.

John is survived by his sister Janette Hoffman of Marshall, AK; children: John L. Jordan II of Baldwin, GA (wife Cindy Jordan), Judy Aubertine of Houston, TX (husband Kip Aubertine), Mary Shockley of Maysville, GA (husband Billy Shockley), and Elizabeth White of Rock Spring, GA (husband Robert White); 19 grandchildren; and 37 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, December 17, 2018 from 9:00 am until service time at 11:00 am at McDonald and Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery.
