Barbara Jean Whiting Miller

Mrs. Barbara Jean Whiting Miller, age 84 of Gainesville, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Don Elrod will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 14, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Barbara was born on June 02, 1934 in Binghamton, New York to the late Harold Whiting and Ethel Wills Lawton.  She retired from Avery-Dennison Labels as a machine operator and was of the Baptist Faith.  Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers, her four sisters, her son, Harvey Miller and her grandson, Alex Bargar.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband of 42 years, Alex Miller of Gainesville, her children, Linda & Jackie Whitlow of Flowery Branch, Bonnie & Troy Lafata of Lawrenceville, Georgia, Thomas F. Barry, III & Betty Barry of Knoxville, Tennessee, Dawna Blevins of Cleveland, Georgia, Tony Miller of Greenville, South Carolina, Bennett & Martha Miller of Ware Shoals, South Carolina, Carol & Bryan Porter of Spartenburg, South Carolina, Johnny Miller of Lawrence, South Carolina, 14 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
