Lois Mae Hill Walls, age 86 of Clarkesville, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 10, 2018 following an extended illness.
Born in Demorest, Georgia in the Habersham Mills Community on October 08, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Jay Douglas Hill & Bertha Mae Dixon Hill. Mrs. Walls retired from Scoville Fasteners after 40 plus years of service. She was a member of Hills Crossing Baptist Church. Mrs. Walls enjoyed reading her Bible, sewing, cooking, and making fried apple pies for her grandkids.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Thomas Louis Walls, brothers, Reeves Hill, Edward Hugh “Boots” Hill, Charles Hill, and sister, Carolyn Hill Thompson.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Rick & Sharon Walls of Clarkesville, GA; grandchildren, Ryan & Kristin Walls of Bainbridge, GA; Astona Walls of Clarkesville, GA; great-grandchildren, Bree, Blythe, & Brennan Walls & Jaxon Gragg; sisters, Doris Hill Ledbetter of Dahlonega, GA; Margaret Hill Batson of Baldwin, GA; Ruth Hill Goss of Dahlonega, GA; Peggy Hill Burke, Jan Hill Barnette both of Clarkesville, GA; sisters-in-law, Doris Hill of Cornelia, GA; Joyce Hill of Demorest, GA; several nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018 from the Habersham Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth McEntire officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that all donations be made in memory of Lois Hill Walls, to the Habersham Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 521 Clarkesville, Georgia 30523
All friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery at 1:45 p.m. on Thursday.
