Sam Scaffide, age 76, of Duluth, GA, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. He was born in 1942 to the late Gus and Nancy Scaffide. While in high school, Sam found the love of his life Marty Simpson. He went on to graduate college from Miami of Ohio with a Bachelor’s degree in education. Sam was well known, respected and a mentor to many in the real estate industry. He was a former Georgia chapter president of the SIOR Society. Sam enjoyed fishing and was a fan of all sports. He coached many seasons of little league baseball for his sons. Even though he had many hobbies, his favorite activity was spending time with the ones he loved. Sam was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be missed dearly.
Sam’s legacy lives on through his high school sweetheart and wife of 52 years, Marty Scaffide; children, William Robert Scaffidi and Brian Andrew Scaffide; siblings, Mary Ann Culotta and Charles Scaffidi; grandchildren, Lauren , Luke and Cade; along with many other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Scaffide will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Johns Creek, GA. Entombment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens Mausoleum in Cumming, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
