Mitchell Morton

Mitchell Morton, age 55 of Statham, GA and formerly of Buford, GA passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Bertie J. Morton. He is survived by his sisters, Stella Marie Edwards, Hiram, GA and Elizabeth Alice Adams, Buford, GA; brothers, James Morton, Statham, GA and Billy Morton, Florida; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Morton was born January 10, 1963 in Tate, GA. He received his education from the Gwinnett County School System. He did lawn care service.

 Morton was a member of Rock of Christ Baptist Church in Flowery Branch, GA. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. Graveside service and interment will held at 1:00 p.m. at Refuge Baptist Church Cemetery in Jasper, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
