John York

Mr. John York, age 75, of Collins Road in Toccoa, Ga. passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the residence.

A son of the late Miles and Bidony Standridge York, he was born June 23, 1943 in Stephens County, Georgia where he has lived for his entire life. He was employed by Gem Industries for a number of years and was a member of Tugalo Baptist Church. Mr. York had a great love for music and also enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Pitts York of the home, daughter, Debra Murray York of Toccoa, two sons, Lee Marvin York and John Allen York both of Toccoa, six granchidlren, seven great-grandchildren, a sister, Betty Jean Beck of Westminster, S.C., and a number of nieces and nephews.  

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018, 2:00 P.M. at the Toccoa Assembly of God with Reverend Lester Cowan and Revernd Anthony Pless officiating.
