Mr. Jack Porter Hansel, age 85, residing on Singleton Road in Eastanollee, Ga. passed away Thursday, November 23, 2018 at Pruitt Health of Toccoa.
A son of the late Jack Hansel, Sr. and Dorothy Wheiland Hansel, he was born February 18, 1930 in Dickenson, North Dakota. Mr. Hansel was a graduate of Bethany School of Missions located in Minnesota; he attended the Alliance Church of Toccoa for twenty-five years. Mr. Hansel was a self employed carpenter and maintenance technician for many years. He was a Korean War Era Veteran of the United States Air Force. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Grahn.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Liz and Joe Necita of Panama City Beach, Florida, son and daughter-in-law, David and Amanda Hansel of Panama City Beach, Florida. six grandchildren, Justin Jacobson, Ryan Necita, Heather Dye, Kate Hansel, Ben Hansel, and Chris Hansel, three great grandchildren, sister, Jane Smebak and twin sister, June Schroeder both of Watertown, Wisconsin.
A Graveside service will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2018, 2:30 P.M, at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia with military honors performed by The United States Army Honor Guard.
The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Joe Nacita, David Hansel, Justin Jacobson, Ryan Necita, Chris Hansel, and Ben Hansel. Please meet on Wednesday at the gravesite at Georgia National Cemetery.
The family will be at their respective homes and will receive friends at The Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
