Dannie Daniel Kidd

Obituary Date: Friday, November 16, 2018

Mr. Dannie Daniel Kidd was born on Monday, March 7, 1966 in Hall County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Jerviese Daniel (Mary Nell) Kidd. He departed this life on Friday, November 16, 2018,following a brief illness. He has lived in Lula, GA all his life. He attended East Hall High School, class of 1985. Dannie was a very hard and dedicated person. He was a man who never met a stranger and was committed to his word, a man of character and class. At an early age, he attended Antioch Baptist Church, but continued his Christian journey where he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior, was baptized and became a member of World Changers Church Intranational in Athens, Ga., under the leadership of Pastor Clarence and Susan Smith.  He was an active Christian member until the day our Lord called him home. Dannie truly loved the Lord and enjoyed his goodness and spiritual life. He will be missed.

Dannie had a passion for entrepreneurship and automobiles. He established “Kidd’s Auto Detail Corp. LLC”, where he serviced multiple clients. His son Daniel plans to continue his legacy to follow his path. Dannie was a member of the Classic City Corvette Club of Athens, Ga. where he loved automobiles and connecting with others. In addition, Dannie continued to build a strong relationship with the friends and family with class of 1985. Dannie loved his family and his friends, the Gainesville Truck Center (Mack family). And due to his impact on this earth he will never be forgotten.

Dannie was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Jerviese (Mary Nell) Kidd; brother Mr. Jerviese Johnson; and his grandparents.

Dannie leaves his precious gifts from God, his daughter Shanada Danielle Kidd of Tampa, FL and his son Daniel Kidd of Snellville, GA; (the Mother of his children Mary Kidd Danielly); two sisters Mr. and Mrs. Lisa Kidd (Frank) Harris of Lula, GA, Gail Hiles of Gainesville, GA; one brother Varneckas (Nick) Kidd; his extended brothers and sisters Mr. and Mrs.Gerald( Edanguline) Owens, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy (Brenda) Owens, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. David (Johnnie Mae) Owens; Ricky Owens, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny (Shelia) Owens, Wayne Owens and Mr. and Mrs. Theresa(Roderick) Rucker; two special uncles Rev. and Mrs. Roger (Shirley) Stephens and Mr. Sammy Stephens; three loving aunts Ms. Anita Buffington of Detroit, MI, Mrs. Corine Owens, and the late ( Jimmy Owens Sr.), Ms. Nancy Hill of Gainesville, GA; nine nieces; three nephews; ten extended nieces and nephews; and a special love of his life Unessalyn Sweet; extended families and two best friends Michael Allison (Mack Truck), Mike Hendrix; and a host of cousins dearest friends, special relatives and family he loved dearly.

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Antioch Baptist Church, 1010 Mill Street, Gainesville, GA 30501 at 2:00 PM; Eulogist: Rev. Rodney Lackey, Sr., Pastor. Internment will immediately follow Funeral service at Memorial Park Cemetery, 2030 Memorial Park Drive, Gainesville, GA 30504. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Wimberly Funeral Home, 325 Summit Street, Gainesville, GA 30501 between the hours of 12:00 noon - 8:00 PM. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
