Roger “Roy” Junior Barner

Roger “Roy” Junior Barner, age 73 of Pendergrass, GA passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2018.

Born on July 2, 1945 in Winder, GA, he was the son of the late Joe and Maude Satterfield Barner, was a retired pulp wooder and also worked with Con Agra, was an Army veteran, and is preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Regina Barner, brother, Horace Edward Barner, and sisters, Shirley J. Sorrow and Doris Ann Chrisley.

Survivors include daughters, Tina Louise Rogers and Tammy Lynn Higginbothom;  sister, Mary F. Gaines; 3 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2 pm Friday, Nov. 23, 2018 at Ivie Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Whisnant officiating. Burial will follow in Cave Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Wednesday and 11 am-2 pm Friday at the funeral home.
