Carole Garner Holcombe

Carole Garner Holcombe, age 75, of Jefferson, GA passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-seven years, Wayne H. Holcombe; parents, Jack and Rosa Higgins Garner; sisters, Minnie Stringer, Retha Loyd, Grace Walden; brothers, Glyndon Garner, Jasper Garner, Golden Garner, Ralph Garner, Herbert Garner, Hulon Garner; and brother-in-law, Doug Strickland. Mrs. Holcombe is survived by children, David and Cindy Holcombe, Blairsville, GA, Brian Holcombe, Norcross, GA, Eric and Kathy Holcombe, Homer, GA; grandchildren, Becky Holcombe, Crystal Holcombe, Jayda Holcombe, Madison Holcombe, Wayne Holcombe; sister, Eleanor Franks, Auburn, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Ellen and Bill Riggins, Kennesaw, GA;  sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Evelyn Garner, Clara Garner, Sandy and Tony Deakins, Duane and Arthur Long, Rhonda and David Leonard, Martha Strickland, Anita York; Debbie Haney; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Holcombe was born on May 24, 1943 in Duluth, GA. She graduated from Norcross High School, and was retired from I P D Printing Company in the accounting department for over twenty years. Mrs. Holcombe was a member of Holly Springs United Methodist Church in Pendergrass, Georgia. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Eric Holcombe and Rev. Leon Brown officiating. Interment will be at Sugar Hill Cemetery in Sugar Hill, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 1:30 until 3:30 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Carole Garner Holcombe.
