Jonnie Sue Baker Bentley

Mrs. Jonnie Sue Baker Bentley, age 87 of Hilltop Way, Toccoa passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Pruitt Health of Toccoa.

A daughter of the late Joe and Laura Hester Fuller Baker, she was born June 20, 1931 in Franklin County, Georgia having lived most of her life in Toccoa. She was a homemaker, a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church and the Ladies Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Leon, Bodie, Wendell and Phil Baker.

Survivors include her husband of the home, James Bentley; daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Scott Poore of Toccoa; two sons and daughter-in-law, James Gary Bentley and wife Mary of Toccoa and John Gregory Bentley of Bluffton, South Carolina; three grandchildren, Jon Bentley, Chris Poore and Caitlin Poore; two great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, November 16, 2018, 2 O’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Roddy Turner and The Reverend Jerry Stowe officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers, Chris Poore, Cecil Nicholson, Levi Nicholson.

The family will be at the home on Hilltop Way and will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Thursday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences can be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Flowers are to be omitted. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Georgia Chapter, 41 Perimeter Center, East, Suite 550, Atlanta, Georgia 30346 in memory of Mrs. Jonnie Sue Bentley.

Entombment will follow in the Stephens Memorial Mausoleum with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Jonnie Sue Bentley.
