Gordon Parhm, age 94, of Cumming, GA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 10, 2018. Gordon was born to the late Arlie Parhm and Inez Bittman Parhm in Evanston, IL. He entered the armed services in 1943, where he trained and worked in electrical communication. Gordon had a degree in Electrical Engineering. After honorable discharge Gordon had a long and rewarding career with Alcoa Aluminum. He worked as a top preforming and honored salesman for 28 years. After retirement he and his wife Louise moved to Daphne, AL. Gordon was born again in Foster City, CA, at the age of 52. His life was dedicated to Christ, he wrote and gave over 3000 bible studies to family, assisted living facilities, nursing homes and the incarcerated throughout Baldwin County. He was a member of Coastal Church in Daphne, AL. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Baker Parhm and loving wife, Alice Louise Parhm.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Margaret Parhm; daughters, Melissa Parhm Plotts and husband, Jeff Plotts, Carol Parhm and Marsha Parhm Lee; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, along with many other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Parhm will be held Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Cumming, GA. Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 17, at 1:00 p.m. CST, 2:00 p.m. EST at Jubilee Memorial Gardens in Daphne, AL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday 1 hour prior to the service.
