Memphis Webb McGehee

Memphis Webb McGehee, 92, of Suwanee passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018. 

A U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II, Webb was with the Forsyth County Volunteer Fire Department from its beginning.  He enjoyed his work as owner of McGehee Die Company.  Webb is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Carrie Mozelle Stanford McGehee; and his parents, William Harrison and Clara E. McGehee; siblings, Ike McGehee, Weldon McGehee, Charlie McGehee, Henry McGehee, Rudolphus “B” McGehee, Lula Sexton, Laura Sexton, Loris Page, George McGehee, Lizzie Grant, Rosa Mae Sexton, and Sarah Wofford.

Survivors include his children, Myra McGehee (Larry) Hughes of Dawsonville, Deborah McGehee (Ronald) Buice of Suwanee, Daphne McGehee (Kenneth) Reid of Cumming, Harland McGehee of Duluth; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 13, at 4:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
