William Eugene "Billy" Wilbanks, Sr.

Evans Funeral Home announces the death of Mr. William Eugene “Billy” Wilbanks, Sr.,  age 81, of Jefferson, Georgia who passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018.

Mr. Wilbanks was born December 7, 1936 in Crawford, Georgia a son of the late Henry and Ora Wier Wilbanks.  Mr. Wilbanks retired from Jackson EMC with thirty plus years of service and was member of Bethany United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents Mr. Wilbanks is preceded in death by his wife Mary Elizabeth Ray Wilbanks.

Survivors include his son, William Wilbanks, Jr, and wife Kathy, Jefferson, Georgia; grandson, William Wilbanks III and wife Heather, Commerce, Georgia, granddaughter Emily Bishop and husband Brett, Suwanee, Georgia; great granddaughter, Laine Wilbanks; sister, Henri Nell Harrell, Lancaster, South Carolina, a number of nieces and nephews also survive.

A memorial service will be held at 3;00 PM, Sunday, November 11, 2018 from the chapel of Evans funeral home with Pastor Ross Wheeler officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the funeral home Sunday, November 11, 2018 prior to the service.
