Benjamin Gene “Ben” Boegh, age 78 of Buford, GA died Sunday, November 4, 2018 after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 5:30 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Suwannee. Bishop Scott Higgins will officiate. Interment will follow on Monday, November 12, 2018 at the Georgia National Cemetery, Canton. The family will receive friends Thursday, November 8, 2018 prior to the service from 4-5 PM at the church. Ben is survived by his wife, Karen Boegh, Buford; children, Sherry Davidson and husband Steve, TN, Cynthia Klatt and husband Tim, FL, Nancy Flemming and husband Mark, TX, Michael Boegh, TN, David Boegh, TN, Amy Walters and husband Scott, TN, Pamela Haymond and husband Alan, NY, Paul Pettyjohn, NY, Virginia Cochran and husband Bryan, GA, Randy Pettyjohn and wife Marsha, GA, Emily Enderle and husband Randy, NC; 21 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; sister, Lynda Scoles, CA; former wife, Vivian Marie Boegh, TN. Ben was born in Los Angeles, CA and moved to the metro Atlanta area in 1985. Ben retired from the Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources and was a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He was a Ham Radio Operator and was instrumental in the Southeast Emergency Communications Network of the Latter-Day Saints Church. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christs of Latter-Day Saints, Suwanee and he led the early morning youth seminary class for 11 years.
