Eris McGee Phillips

Eris McGee Phillips, age 86, of Hartwell, GA and formally of Buford GA passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018.

She was preceded in death by husband William "Bill" Phillips of sixty five years; and son, Tony Phillips.

She is survived by her children; Tim and Annette Phillips of Hartwell, GA, Terry and Holly Phillips of Hoschton, GA, Joe and Rena Phillips of Buford, GA, Robert D. and Jenny Phillips of Flowery Branch, GA; grandchildren, Gary and Aimee Phillips, Scott and Anita Phillips, April and Jeff Huber, Laura and Seth Maxwell, Erin Phillips, Josh Phillips, Molly Phillips, Nolan Phillips, Elijah Phillips; and ten great-grandchildren. Mrs. Phillips was a lifelong resident of Gwinnett County. She was born May 9, 1932 in Lawrenceville, GA. She was a graduate of Lawrenceville High School, class of 1950.

She was a homemaker. Mrs. Phillips was a long time member of Duncan Creek Congregational Church in Buford, Georgia where she was a dual member of Liberty Congregational Church in Dewey Rose, GA. She was a former member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church in Lawrenceville, GA. “She was Nanny to all her family and friends, where she will be greatly missed.” Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Duncan Creek Congregational Church, with Pastor Dr. James Dee Dillin officiating.   Interment will follow at Duncan Creek Congregational Church Cemetery, Buford, Georgia.
