Betty Jean Day Stone, age 81, a lifelong resident of Forsyth County, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018. She was a well-respected and faithful member of Shiloh United Methodist Church and loved her Church family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lamar Stone, who she was married to for 58 years.
She is survived by children, Penelope and David Pattillo, Cindy and Gary Carter, Allen and Darlene Stone; grandchildren, Brianna Zuber and Dan Twyman, Allen Pattillo, Ben Pattillo, Charlene and Mark Terry, Crystal Stone, Becca and Matt Hicks; great and great-great grandchildren, Amber Voyles, Adriana Terry, Allison Hicks and Baylee Voyles. She is also survived by Dot Holbrook, Shirley Day, Bobbie and Alton Richards, Glendal and Ellen Stone, Carolyn McGinnis, Phyllis Samples, Michael and Marion Stone; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She spent her last years at Cumming Manor where she was well cared for by a great and loving staff.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, October 28th at 2:00 pm at Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Purcell and Chaplain Ryan Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Ingram Funeral Home on Saturday from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Sunday from 11:00 am until hour of service.
