Obituary Date: Tuesday, October 23, 2018

USAF Staff Sergeant Chad Emory Taylor, age 30 of Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2018.

Chad is survived by his devoted wife, Dianna Caudell Taylor; parents, Richard and Gwynn Taylor of Gainesville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Josh and Renee Taylor of Maysville, GA; niece and nephew, Noah and Naomi Taylor; grandfather, Wendell Ray Rogers; grandmother, Jean Grubbs Taylor. He is also survived by a large extended family of uncles, aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Richard Emory Taylor, Sr. and Mable Davis Rogers.

He was born in Fulton County, Georgia at Georgia Baptist Hospital on March 31, 1988.  Staff Sergeant Taylor has enjoyed playing the guitar, hunting, fishing and playing ball since he was a young boy.  He proclaimed his desire to be an Airman beginning at the age of 3 or 4. Chad has always proven himself to be selfless, caring more about others than himself.

The love of Chad’s life was Dianna.  He knew after the 2nd date that she was the woman he wanted to marry. Dianna took a little longer, but Chad was willing to stick with her until “she realized the truth”. After 6 years of dating (3 of those years being long distance), they finally married on May 29, 2015 at Level Grove Baptist Church.   They were an amazing couple, a team and best friends.  They enjoyed spending time with each other camping, shopping, woodworking, and spending time with their friends.

Sergeant Taylor graduated from Habersham Central High School in 2006.  He enlisted in the United States Air Force on January15, 2013.  SSgt Taylor started 13 weeks of Security Forces training on March 18, 2013 through June 21, 2013.  On July 17, 2013 he was assigned to the 509th Security Forces Squadron as a Security Forces Member.  Sergeant Taylor was an active member of the Fallen Outdoors which is an organization of Military Veterans both retired and active duty.  Where he organized multiple day long excursions to show Veterans the finer points of dove hunting.  He was self-motivated and dedicated in accomplishing his job and was extremely passionate in everything he did.  He kept a very close group of friends.  His hobbies continued to be hunting, fishing, playing the guitar, watching Georgia Bulldogs football and listening to Country music.  His dedication to military service and the people in his life was unwavering.  Chad loved his Country and his God.  His sense of humor, kind heartedness and adventurous nature will be missed greatly by his family, fellow Airmen, and friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm, Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Level Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Brian James officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery with full military honors provided by the United States Air Force.
