Donna Jean Haynes Farmer

Donna Jean Haynes Farmer, age 87, of Gainesville passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at The Gardens of Gainesville.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday October 28, 2018 in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Robert E. Boggan, Jr. will officiate. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 28, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Farmer was born October 28, 1930 in the Brookton Community to Frazier Haynes and Ethel Leona Rogers Haynes. She was a homemaker and was a member of Dewberry Baptist Church # 1. She loved music, children, and taking care of her family. For many years she was active in working with children in Bible School, Sunday school and Nursery. She enjoyed taking care of other people, but most importantly was her son Bill. Mrs. Farmer was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Felton Latimer Farmer.

Mrs. Farmer is survived by her son, William “Bill” Farmer of Gainesville; daughter and son in law, Beth Farmer Boggan and Jeff Boggan of Flowery Branch; granddaughter, Madeline Maney of Flowery Branch; sister and brother in law, Quita and Jim Pethel of Gainesville; sister, Betty Waldrep of Marietta.
