Sarah Jeanette Collins

Sarah Jeanette Collins, 82, of Oakwood passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Purcell officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, October 19^th until the funeral hour.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collins is preceded in death by her husband, William Royce Collins and her brother, Harold England.

Born on March 9, 1936 in Gainesville Ga Mrs. Collins was the daughter of the late Burie William England and Lois Irene Shockley. She was retired from Leece-Neville and a member of Bethany Baptist Church. 

Mrs. Collins is survived by her daughter and son in law, Brenda and Ken Burnett of Gainesville; son and daughter in law, David and Kathy Collins of Oakwood; grandchildren, Angell and Derek Lindburg of Buford; Nick and Tiffany Burnett of Clermont, Matthew and Kenitha Collins of Jefferson, Macy Collins of Gainesville; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Gilleland of Flowery Branch, Janie Whitaker of Fullerton, CA, Linda Mumma of Flowery Branch; brothers, Donald England of Oakwood, Johnny England of Gillsville and a number of other relatives.
