Lake Boggs

Lake Boggs, age 87 of Clermont, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a sudden illness.      

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Gaines, Rev. Gene O’Kelly and Rev. Jim Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, October 15, 2018 from 5:00-9:00pm and Tuesday, October 16, 2018 prior to the service, at the funeral home.    

Mr. Boggs was born June 23, 1931 in Gainesville, Georgia to John Robert Boggs and Zora Ann Thompson Boggs. He was retired from the City of Gainesville and was a member of Wahoo Baptist Church. Mr. Boggs was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Lee Sullens Boggs, his parents and his great-grandson, Zackary Lane Westmoreland.    

Mr. Boggs is survived by his daughter, Joyce Boggs Westmoreland of Clermont; daughter, Teresa Lynn Boggs Roberts of Clermont; son and daughter-in-law, Anthony Lake Boggs and Jamie Boggs of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Tammy Boggs of Clermont; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Jessie Boggs Ferguson of Cleveland; brother, Johnny Boggs of Clermont.
