Jerry Deano Wilson, 51 of Murrayville Georgia, died Saturday October 13, 2018 at Emory Hospital in Atlanta.
Born in Gainesville, Georgia, Mr. Wilson had lived in Gainesville all his life. He was employed with Cobb, and was of the Baptist faith.
He loved his boys and his family, and would go out of his way to help anyone that needed it. Nicknamed “Hippie”, he was loved by everyone that knew him and they all loved hearing his jokes. As a hobby, he enjoyed working on cars, DJ’ing, and karaoke.
Survivors include his two sons Tyler and Caleb Wilson; his dad, Clyde Wilson and his mother, Sallie Belle Wilson; his sister and brother-in-law, Donna Clark and Terry; one niece and two nephews; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2018 in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Andy Gaddis and Rev. Michael McIntyre will officiate. Interment will follow in Wauka Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, October 15, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-9:00 p.m.
