Sue Dodson Friend

Sue Dodson Friend, age 84, of Suwanee, GA passed away on Saturday, October 6, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Friend. She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Terri Lynn and Tom Glenn, Flowery Branch, GA and Tami Lee Wolf, Lawrenceville, GA; grandchildren, Ryan and Lauren Glenn, Cumming, GA and Evan Gilchrist and wife, Kristin Jones, Lawrenceville, GA; great grandchildren, Shepherd Reid Glenn and Harrison James Glenn; brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Charlotte Dodson, Orlando, FL; several nieces, nephews and cousins; two step sons; one step grandson; one step great grandson; and one step great granddaughter. Mrs. Friend was born November 9, 1933 in Akron, OH. She graduated from Garfield High School, Class of 1951. She was a retired secretary from Champion Building Products in Marietta, GA. Mrs. Friend was a member of First Baptist Church of Buford where she was a member of the Upper Room Sunday School Class, member of the Silvertone Choir and also sang in the Adult Choir with her husband, Don. “Sue was loved by everyone who met her. She was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.” Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Johnson and Rev. Stephen Fountain officiating.  Interment will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park in Norcross, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 18, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of Sue Friend.
