Amberson C. Wade, age 93, of Alto, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018.
Mrs. Wade was born on April 11, 1925, in Habersham County, Georgia, to the late John Willie and Daisy Mae Faulkner Cook. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Artis Wade; second husband, Hubert Carlyle; two brothers; and six sisters. Mrs. Wade was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Merle Standridge Brooks and Ray of Gainesville and Evelyn Trotter and Billy of Clarkesville; sons and daughters-in-law: Fred and Flora Wade of Lula, Arnold and Winnie Wade of Alto, and H.L. and Betty Wade of Alto; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at Crossroads Baptist Church with Rev. Lloyd Martin and Rev. Ray Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Wade will lie in state from 1:00 pm until the service hour on Saturday at the church.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Friday, October 12, 2018, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
