Mr. Winford (Hank) N. Millwood age 85 of Gainesville went to be with our Lord on Wednesday October 03, 2018. Mr. Millwood was a resident of Bell-Minor Nursing Home. He was a longtime resident of Flowery Branch.
Mr. Millwood was born on June 12, 1933 to the late Gus and Della Millwood of Cumming, Ga. He was retired from Mooney Manufacturing where he was a furniture builder. After retirement he continued to build furniture part time with his lifelong friend Ronnie Couch. Mr. Millwood had a love for bluegrass gospel.
Survivors include his sons Ricky Millwood of Nicholson and Marcus Millwood and his girlfriend Amy Hardin of Braselton. Grandchildren Amber (Carrol) Coley of Gainesville, Joseph (Samantha) Millwood of Talmo, Brandon (Blythe) Millwood of Hoschton and Blake Millwood of Flowery Branch. Great-Grandchildren Caiden, Anthony and Anastin Millwood. Several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his brothers Grady, Buck, Samual and Toy Millwood, sisters, Lucille Millwood, Allie Smith, Leathora Williams, Jackie Martin and Thoy Millwood, and son Mitchell Millwood.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday October 06, 2018 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home Gainesville. Rev. Tim Millwood, Carrol Coley and Joseph Thomas will officiate. Ronnie Couch will be a guest speaker. Interment will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Forsyth County. The family will receive friends on Friday October 05, 2018 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. and 5:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday October 06, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the entire staff of Bell Minor who took exceptional care of Mr. Millwood and became his best friends and extended family.
