Howard Gilbert Guggenheimer

Howard Gilbert Guggenheimer, age 74, of Lawrenceville, GA passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Mae Bergman Guggenheimer. He is survived by his daughter, Heather Johnson, Charleston, WV; granddaughter, Mara Jade Johnson, Charleston, WV; sister, Anita Cole, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; several cousins; and good friend, Scott Cowan, Lawrenceville, GA. Mr. Guggenheimer was born April 6, 1944 in Rochester, NY. He was a 1961 graduate of Woodlawn High School in Baton Rouge, LA and a 1966 graduate of Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force for fifteen years where he was a Captain. He was a pilot in the Air Force and a member of the ROTC. He was a computer technology specialist. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club in Duluth-Norcross and a member of the Southeastern Greyhound Association. Mr. Guggenheimer was of the Jewish Faith and member of the B’nai Israel Congregation. Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA with military honors.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
