Rita Ray Shirley Treadwell

Rita Ray Shirley Treadwell, age 88 of Gainesville, GA passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018.

She was born in Honea Path, SC and had been a resident at Lanier Village Estates since 2005. Rita attended Richmond Professional Institute in Richmond, VA with studies in Art and Fashion Design, and went on in later years to become a student of Philosophy and Spirituality. She had a passion for art and crafts, especially oil painting. Rita was a Navy wife and lived in many locations over the years, including Virginia, California, Washington State, Hawaii, and Florida.    

Rita was the daughter of the late William and Grace Ray Shirley, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Archie B. Treadwell.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, George Treadwell and Elisabeth Shields, and Charles and Pam Treadwell; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Ray Hartsfield; and grandchildren,  Karen Hartsfield, Robin Treadwell, Ray Hartsfield III, and Isaac Pineda.

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Sunday, October 7^th at 1:30 PM at the Lanier Village Estates Chapel.  Reception immediately following in the Auditorium.
