The Home Going Celebration Service for Mrs. Dora Nell Bailey Wansley of Buford, Ga., will be held Saturday, September 29, 2018, 11a.m., at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 4000 Thurmon Tanner Rd., Flowery Branch, Ga. Rev. Dr. Emerson Ross, pastor. Interment church cemetery. Wake Friday, September 28, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church from 7 to 8 p.m.
Mrs. Dora Nell Bailey Wansley was born January 15, 1948 in Hall County, Ga., to the late Thomas and Susie Bailey. She was a graduate of E.E. Butler High School and was a retired AT&T OSPS operator with over 30 years of service. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother, a loyal and dependable aunt and friend.
Dora was a lifelong, dedicated member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where she was the long-time Sunday school secretary, vacation bible school teacher and a member of the senior choir. She was an avid fan of the Buford Wolves and the Georgia Bulldogs. She will be forever remembered for her loud and vociferous cheers from the stadium stands.
She is survived by her children: Greg (Nicholas) Bell, Buford, Ga., Jennifer (Kalwaski) Benyard, Buford, Ga., and Timothy (Anna) Wansley, Dacula, Ga.; eight grandchildren: Ansley Terry, Trey Bell, Carson Bell, Daniel Bell, Zion Benyard, and Bradley Benyard all of Buford, Ga., Chandler White, Dacula, Ga., and Donavin Rigdon, Cumming, Ga.; brothers: Howard (Annie) Bailey, Flowery Branch, Ga., Lonnie (Allyson) Bailey, Buford, Ga., Eddie (Magnolia) Bailey, Buford, Ga., and David Bailey, Flowery Branch, Ga; sisters: Mary Bailey, Flowery Branch, Ga., and Janice (Bruce) Long, Hoschton, Ga., other relatives and friends.
