Jason Thompson, 41, of Cumming passed away Monday, September 17, 2018. Jason was a best friend to everyone. A hard worker, he was dedicated to his job at Hudgins Steel Company, never taking time off for sickness or vacation. Jason was a loving son, brother and uncle and was always willing to help those in need. He is preceded in death by his father, Ralph E. Thompson.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Jean Thompson of Cumming; siblings, Sheila (David) Clark of Silver City, Roger (Karen Cates) Thompson of Woodstock, Kenneth Thompson of Dahlonega, Ronald (Elaine) Thompson of Buford, Sherrie (Lenn) Chadwick of Cherokee County, Sharon Thompson of Cumming; nieces, Ashely Chadwick, Ashton Chadwick, Megan (Austin Burgos) Chadwick, Amanda Thompson; nephews, Hunter Thompson, Justin Thompson and Travis Thompson; and a great niece, Cecelia Burgos.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 21, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bud Sutton and Rev. Franklin Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
