Ola Bell McElduff

Mrs. Ola Bell McElduff, age 78, of Dahlonega passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018.

Mrs. McElduff was born in White County on August 15, 1940 to the late Homer and Pauline Gooch Summerour. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Marion McElduff, son Bobby Darrell McElduff, sister Ruth Dover, brothers Bill Summerour and Henry Summerour, and great-grandson Devin Woods.

Mrs. McElduff attended Antioch Baptist Church and she was a member of the Auraria Community House. She loved to dance, play rummy, and wear her jewelry. Mrs. McElduff was affectionately called “Granny” by her grandchildren. She had a way of making people feel very special when she talked to them. Mrs. McElduff made an impression on her family and friends and her mark will never leave them.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Tommy and Brenda McElduff, Dahlonega; sister Barbara Summerour, Dawsonville; brother and sister-in-law Alfred and Gail Summerour; special friend, of 23 years, John Hendrick, Dahlonega; daughter-in-law Sally McElduff, Dahlonega; grandchildren Nina and Wesley Fields, Crystal and Jim Isom, Holly and Chad Hicks, Bobbie Faye McElduff, Miranda and David Keyton, David and Susan Wood, and Shelly and Devin Mims, great-grandchildren Danielle, Devin, Bradley, Luci, Cooper, Rylin, Tyler, Liam, Lily, David Paul, Cody, Jaida, Peylin, and Micahlynn; great-great-grandson Jayce; several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, September 21, 2018 in the chapel of Banister Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Martin will officiate. Interment will follow in the Summerour Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
