Ronald David Bell

Mr. Ronald David Bell, age 81 of Oak Valley Road, Toccoa passed away Monday, September 17, 2018 at the Stephens County Hospital.

A son of the late John Dave Bell and Myrtle Miller Bell, he was born May 28, 1937 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life. He attended the Georgia School for the Deaf in Cave Springs. He was an All-American High School Football Player and a lifeguard with the Toccoa City Pool.   He was a diehard Georgia Tech Fan. He had a passion for drawing and painting. He was a loving husband of 52 years, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. He was very humorous and a jokester. He always made his own way and it was difficult to sum him up into words.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Marie Otting Bell; daughters, Erica Bell and her partner, Angela Gaines of Martin and Donna Aldrich and husband Randy of Tococa; grandchildren, Bridgett Aldrich, Jason and Johnna Aldrich, Taylor and Brandon Fitzgerald, Destiny Cross, Caitlynn, Ashelynn and Joslynn Standridge; nine great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Patsy Bell of Winchester, Virginia; two nephews.

Memorial services will be Thursday, September 20, 2018, 2 O’clock p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church with The Reverend Stacy Penland officiating.
