James Donald Fields

James Donald Fields, age 77, of Suwanee, GA, passed away Friday, August 31, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ben Fields and Louise Fleenor. Mr. Fields is survived by his wife of thirty-five years, Lesa Scott Fields, Suwanee, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Larry Haffler, Lexington, KY; son, Donald Ray Fields, Lexington, KY; grandchildren, Lindsay Haffler, Chris and Allie Haffler, Zachary Haffler, Maggie and Cameron Horseman; brothers, Edward Fleenor, Hamilton, OH and Ken and Hazel Fleenor, Hamilton, OH, sister-in-law, Kathie (Dan) George, Sugar Hill, GA; brother-in-law, David (Sara) Scott; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Fields was born August 7, 1941 in Harlan, KY.  He graduated from the Hall County High School, Haran, KY, and received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky.  He retired from Ames Supply Company after 30 years of service and was an avid fisherman and loved Kentucky basketball.  No formal service will be held but the family will receive family and friends on September 22, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity in memory of James Fields.
